Selective Amnesia

Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
Romans 8:34 NLT

We remember we are sinners,

but we forget we have been set free.

We remember we are guilty,

but we forget we have been forgiven.

We remember we have fallen,

but we forget that God has picked us up.

We remember the parts that condemn us and forget the parts that set us free.

  1. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a beautiful comment. Each day we are reminded of the beauty of what God has done and by walking daily in His truth we honor and show appreciation for what Jesus Christ endured on our behalf. Thank you again.

  2. Great message. We oftentimes forget that we are forgiven but most of us have not truly turned our lives over to God. The Apostle Paul speaks on the war within our own mind and flesh, trying to make decisions but if we truly trust in God. The path to redemption is upon us. However I will say that reading what you wrote reminded me of the promise. It also reminded me of what I need to do to obtain his blessings. Thank you for writing this. It is truly appreciated.
